INBA is managed by an association management company and governed by an all volunteer Board of Directors. The INBA Board guides the vision of the chamber and oversees the direction of management. Board Management
Description of INBA Board
A maximum of 12 members may sit on the INBA Board. Each member serves a three-year term with no limit to the number of terms a member can serve. Each year three to four new board members are appointed by the standing board and approved by the general membership at the Annual Meeting. The board officers are elected by the board during the January meeting and serve a one-year term to that position. There is no limit to the number of years an officer may serve.
Description of officer responsibilities:
President's Responsibilities:The President shall be the principal executive officer of the Alliance and subject to the Board's control, shall supervise and control all of the business and affairs or the Alliance. The president, along with such other officers as the Board may designate, execute deeds, leases, mortgages, contracts or any instrument that the Board authorizes to be signed unless the Board designates some other officer or agent of the Alliance to so execute. He/she shall have all the duties and authority normally vested in the President of an Association, including those prescribed by the Board.
Vice President Responsibilities:The Vice President, in the event of a death, disability or absence of the President, shall perform all necessary duties, which would otherwise be performed by the President. He/she shall have all the duties and authority normally vested in the Vice President of the organization, including those prescribed by the Board.
Treasurer Responsibilities:The Treasurer shall supervise the financial affairs of the Alliance and perform such other duties as the President and the Board may prescribe.
Secretary Responsibilities:The Secretary is charged with the duties of the secretary of the Alliance and therefore is responsible for keeping a record of all meetings of the Board and the membership in the minute book of the Alliance, oversee and supervise all elections and voting procedures, and perform such other duties as the President and Board may prescribe.
